Practice San Francisco is a well-established and growing family-focused therapy and wellness center based in San Francisco’s Cow Hollow neighborhood and Marin. We are currently hiring both child and adolescent therapists and perinatal therapists to join our clinical team!  We are accepting applications from either early career licensed professionals, pre-licensure post-docs, or Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT) / Master of Social Work (MSW) interns accruing supervised hours. Inquiring interns must have current registration to apply. Compensation is commensurate with level of experience.

We Are Growing Our Clinical Team

We are looking for therapists interested in a long-term role with our dynamic and connected treatment team. We specialize in delivering evidence-based treatments for children, teens, and parents as intervention and prevention.

Inquiring applicants offer evidence-based behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, ACT, and mindfulness-based interventions. Positions are ideal for experienced trainees and/or clinicians new to private practice, who are interested in becoming part of a thriving group. Our ideal candidates are:

Child and Adolescent Therapist

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Conducting individual cognitive-behavioral therapy with children and teens who experience anxiety, mood, or emotion regulation disorders.
  • Providing ongoing parent education and support.
  • Liaising with schools, when needed.
  • In addition, our staff therapists run small group Mighty Minds psychoeducational classes to teach core CBT and mindfulness skills to children in grades K to 6.
  • Optional opportunities to run one-time or ongoing small-group workshops for children, teens, or parents. Other opportunities to develop programs consistent with our mission of delivering evidence-based interventions to children, teens, and parents.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous training and experience with cognitive-behavioral interventions in child/adolescent populations is mandatory.
  • Experience with mindfulness-based interventions is a plus, as is experience with behavioral interventions for attention/behavior challenges.
  • At this time, we are particularly interested in candidates interested and experienced in working with preschool and elementary school-aged children and their families, however, we are also open to applications from clinicians with interest in working with middle/high school populations and/or parents.
  • Evening and/or weekend availability is necessary to start, with opportunity for more flexible schedule over time.
  • Minimum of 8-10 client hours per week, with a strong preference for candidates looking to build toward a full-time load and a long-term connection with a team.
  • Candidates operating or employed in another private practice are not eligible.

Perinatal Therapist

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Conducting individual cognitive-behavioral therapy, and/or acceptance and commitment therapy with pregnant and new mothers.
  • Facilitating / co-facilitating weekly support groups for expecting and new mothers.
  • Optional opportunities to run one-time or ongoing small-group workshops for expecting and new mothers (or for parents, more generally).

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous training and experience in treating adult depression, anxiety, and adjustment issues with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and/or acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is mandatory. 
  • Postpartum-specific experience and training is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 clients hours per week, with a strong preference for candidates looking to build toward a full-time load and a long-term connection with a team.
  • Candidates operating or employed in another private practice are not eligible.

Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga and Fitness Instructors

We are accepting applications from teachers interested in joining our regularly scheduled prenatal/postnatal yoga and fitness offerings. We are also interested in teachers who are interested in joining our list of prenatal and postnatal subs.
