Julia Barzizza

Mighty Minds Facilitator

Julia Barzizza

Julia (she/her/hers) joined the Practice team in April 2019. She has facilitated countless Mighty Minds and Mighty Minds Alumni sessions for kids in grades K-5 – and she is still going strong!

As a certified yoga teacher and dedicated mindfulness practitioner, Julia’s work focuses on helping kids find empowerment through personal choice. Her experience in art, yoga and breath-based practice offer kids different access points to connect with their present-moment experiences. Julia’s approach encourages open-minded curiosity, thoughtful observation and positive reinforcement.

She is trained through Awakened Spirit Yoga, Bliss Baby Yoga, Mindful Schools, Wellemental and Yoga Flow SF. She received her bachelor’s degree in art from California College of the Arts. She is currently pursuing a master’s in Sociology. In addition to her work with Practice, Julia can be found leading awareness-based art and murals at schools, community centers and hospitals around the Bay Area.

Julia lives in San Francisco with her spouse. In her free time she is soaking up the sun; running, camping, dancing pangalay and reading are some of her favorite ways to play outside.
