CLINICAL PROGRAM

Group Therapy for Parents San Francisco

Clinical Groups
for Parents

Our experienced therapists offer clinical groups for parents that are grounded in the same evidence-based treatment approaches we use in individual sessions! These therapy groups are small (no more than twelve families), short-term, and strategy-focused– and offer a cost-effective and time-limited way to work with our clinicians to learn and troubleshoot evidence-based parenting strategies, plus connect with other parents on similar parenting journeys.

About Our Clinical Groups

Participation in each clinical parenting group involves an individual intake that serves as a screening session to make sure that the group will be a good fit for your needs.  Depending on the specific content, groups range from five to ten weekly sessions (60 to 90 minutes in duration).  Our parenting groups currently are held via telehealth sessions in order to maximize convenience for participating parents– we know that parents are stretched thin and busy, and we want to make this as easy as we possibly can!

Current parent clinical group offerings include:

  • Behavioral parenting for parents of kids with attention and behavioral challenges

  • Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)

  • Parenting Anxious Teens

About our clinical groups

Cost per Session

Cost depends on the number of sessions and duration of each session.  Our coordinator will provide you with information regarding provider availability and fees during an initial screening call.  We do not accept health insurance directly, although we are happy to supply families with documentation necessary for reimbursement by PPO health insurance or medical flexible spending or health savings accounts.

As the result of the 2022 No Surprises Act, please be aware that you have the right to receive a good faith estimate of healthcare treatment costs.  Your Good Faith Estimate will be uploaded to your client portal at the time that you schedule an initial appointment.  However, you can ask our intake coordinator or your provider for this estimate before you schedule a service or at any other time during treatment.  If you receive a bill over $400 more than your good faith estimate, you can dispute the bill.  For more information regarding the good faith estimate and/or dispute process, see your good faith estimate or visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
