Why Finding Your Mama Tribe is Just as Meaningful During a Pandemic

Tips, resources, and programs to support your teen or tween in quarantine!

Hey, pregnant and new mamas --

It's been a while since I reached out to you specifically.  But in the midst of this pandemic and our shelter-in-place, I wanted to reach out to acknowledge that I feel like this time likely is especially hard for all of you.

For those of you who are pregnant, you're weathering your pregnancies in the privacy of your own homes, worrying what delivery and new motherhood might look like.

For those of you whose little ones have already arrived, you're isolated at home.

For all of you, this is not what you expected or imagined this stage of your life to be.  It's disappointing, it's scary, it's stressful, and-- depending on the other support you have in place-- it's potentially pretty lonely, too.

I am sending so many warm wishes to all of you.  And I want you to know that we are still here for you, and we have the same goal as always:  connecting you to other mamas, and helping you find your motherhood tribe.

To that end, we're hosting a free livestream mixer for expecting and new mamas this Thursday, April 16, 4-5pm.  Dr. Katie Taylor from our team will give you the lowdown on all kinds of resources for new and expecting moms (both our programs/resources and everything else we could dig up!), and she also will be helping you connect with one another.  Please mark your calendars, and join us!  (If you know of pregnant or new mama friends, tell them, too-- our Zoom has plenty of room! )

And as a lot of you already know, we've taken our regular classes and groups livestream too.  Come practice with us (and tell friends near and far, too-- now that we're online, anyone anywhere can join in!).

Thanks to all of you for being part of our community, and for continuing to support US as we work to support you.  I won't lie-- it has been frustrating and stressful to be sheltering in place so soon after we renovated and moved into our new space.  And our entire team is so grateful to all of you who have rolled with us into this online format-- your support will make it more likely that we'll weather this and be able to re-open our physical doors to all of you once the coast is clear.

In the meantime, we'll see you online!  Sending lots of warm wishes, from my family to yours.
