Group led by Ashley Goldsmith Buttner, LMFT, Victoria Day, AMFT, APCC, and Ella Kauffman, APCC

Calling all parents of kids ages 5 to 12 with attention and behavior challenges!

Let’s face it: having a child struggling with inattention, distractibility, or hyperactivity/impulsivity can be TOUGH. If you feel like you’re constantly giving your child a million reminders or telling them what NOT to do, the Behavioral Parenting Group may be for you!

Clinical research generally suggests that the most effective way to intervene around challenging behaviors in these categories (inattention, distractibility, hyperactivity/impulsivity) is to help parents scaffold the environment in a way that will help decrease the behaviors you DON’T want to see, and increase the behaviors you DO want to see (i.e., behavioral parenting or super parenting!!). Families of children with previous ADHD diagnoses are eligible for participation, as are families of children with no diagnosis but experiencing difficulties at home with attention, behavior, or executive functioning.

Ashley Goldsmith Buttner, LMFT, Victoria Day, AMFT, APCC, and Ella Kauffman, APCC will facilitate an online 10-week parenting group to offer new behavioral parenting tools for your toolbox and support in increasing your child’s independence! We will include techniques such as incorporating home-based tasks and routines (to decrease your need for yelling, nagging, and reminding at home!). We’ll work on setting the stage for success, improving your relationship with your child, and developing effective contingencies (rewards, consequences, praise) that will work for your child. Along with the 10-week parenting group, families will also receive one individual session designed to further personalize strategies to each specific child/family in a way that maximizes the group's effectiveness.

Price

$390 is for the initial intake, and the cost for the 10-week session is $1760 (which includes one 45-minute individual session at $260). This group does require a $300 non-refundable deposit.

Payments and Refunds

You will be asked to pay the cost of your $390 intake session at the time that you register. This intake session determines eligibility and fit for the program; if your family is approved to register for the program in full, you will be given a separate registration link and offered the option to pay either for the program in full or a non-refundable deposit of $300 in order to hold your family's spot. For families opting to pay a deposit only at the time of registration, the remaining payment will be billed to your card on file one week prior to the start of your program. Please note that payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to future groups or services.

Cancellations made within one week before the first group session are eligible for transfer or refund only if we successfully fill the spot in the group with a family from our waitlist. Otherwise, all fees paid will be nonrefundable and non-transferable. Additionally, the group fee remains fixed and is not prorated for any absences, whether planned or unplanned. Refunds will not be provided for missed sessions due to our limited number of participating families.
