Group led by Alana Wolens, LCSW

Our Social Skills group is designed to help 3rd to 5th-grade girls develop essential social skills through engaging, evidence-based strategies. The program is divided into two sections, allowing participants to choose one or both based on their interests and needs.**

Part 1: Building Positive Friendships (five weeks)

The first program focuses on establishing the foundations for building and maintaining positive friendships. Participants will learn how to engage in friendships in an authentic and fulfilling way.

Part 2: Navigating Social Challenges (five weeks)

The second program addresses navigating tricky social interactions and repairing friendship mishaps. We’ll explore strategies for managing overwhelming situations and gaining confidence in resolving conflicts.

Throughout both programs, participants will engage in role-play, interactive games, small group discussions, and individual reflection. They will discover the science behind our desire to belong, receive tips for effective communication, practice reflective listening, and learn empathetic strategies for mending conflicts.

Our goal is for each participant to leave feeling empowered and confident in their ability to navigate social dynamics and build solid and healthy friendships.

Each program lasts five weeks, and participants can sign up for Part 1, Part 2, or both courses. Join us for a fun and supportive experience that fosters social growth!

**Note: Participants can enroll in either Part 1, Part 2, or both — no prerequisites are required.
